Typography

In our typography, we decided to go with a look which was based around crime and detective work; this was due to the whole story line behind our thriller opening. we used keywords such as 'target', 'classified', 'information' etc, in order to develop the theme.

we also used videos from recent violent events, for example, there where extracts that where taken from news reports on the 2012 London riots. The editing of fire in the video is more beneficial as it is a key object that links back to the title of our thriller 'Londons Burning'.

We used the soundtrack from batman begins which is called 'Antrozous'. We decided to use this soundtrack as it has a slow build up to the climax which is the big title, Londons Burning. We also used it as it has a more 'modern day' feel to it, and also sounds very corporate.

I used text from random news reports on violent acts to make up the text in the background; again this was down to subtly make implications about what this movie will be about. Most of the typography was created on photoshop, which is the backgrounds and the text etc. Then once that was down i then imported each frame into after effects where i made each frame a composition, so that when it came to adding the cast names, all i would need to do is write them in, with all the preset effects.

The typography looks sort of futuristic and techno, which is the look we are looking for, as again this links back to the story line behind londons burning, and explore how technology is benefiting criminals in there manufacture and detonations of bombs.
